Revlon ColourStay Foundation in 110 (Ivory)- I use the normal-dry skin formulation. I really like to apply this foundation with the Real Techniques brush. It matches my skintone really well, which is surprising for a drugstore brand for me. Revlon and Gosh are 2 readily available foundation makers that actually get it right in terms of matching colours for fair skinned/pink toned people. Drugstore brands such a Bourjois, Rimmel, Collection 2000, max Factor; and even higher end brands that I’ve swatched such as Clinique only seem to make yellow-y toned foundations which is sad :(. Any-hoo, BIG shout-out (again…) to Revlon foundations.
Urban Decay ‘Naked’ Palette- I don’t think there’s many people who DON’T love this to be honest, so it’s probably a slightly unnescessary addition. Anyway, I’ve had this about a month and have used it nearly everyday and am in love with how soft and pigmented the colours are. I’m still getting the hand of blending around my crease but these shadows are definitely helping the learning process :)
TopShop Nail Polish in ‘Moonshine’- this isn’t a colour that I would usually go for at all, but I really like this! It’s kind of silvery metallic, but not a harsh tinfoil-y metallic (for lack of a better description) with pinky-rose gold undertones. Really, Really pretty! In fact, I’m about to manicure my nails and repaint them with this :) Formulation wise, it goes on nicely, not gloopy or streaky but thin and good coverage and drys nice and flat with no ruckling :)
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush- I think every beauty blogger and their hamster probably has this brush, but it is seriously fantastic. Yes, mine needs cleaning….sorry.It’s a kind of combination between a traditional foundation brush and a kabuki brush. The handle is nice and thick for firm holding, but not clunky. It blends my foundation gently into my skin without rubbing and really helps it to blend seamlessly. I just LOVE it
Garnier Moisture Match face cream for Dry/Extra Dry skin- I’ve already written a whole post extolling the virtues of this cream; but in short, it has been a SAVIOUR for my stressed and super dry skin!
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in ‘On and On Bronze’- my go-to eye product if I’m in a rush, especially if I’m doing my makeup on the train to work or something (I waitress part-time whilst doing my Masters) and you can just slap it on without a brush. Actually this is probably one of my favourite makeup items for work full stop- stays put, doesn’t need touching up, and gives a warm sweep of colour to my eyes and with mascara it gives enough definition that sometimes I don’t even wear eyeliner with it. I love using this as a base under my naked palette eyeshadows as well, really emphasises the colours. My only disappointment is that the USA has waay more colours of these than we do in the UK. In the US theres a really gorgeous champagne-y nude colour which i WISH SO MUCH we had here!
Nina Ricci Perfume: ‘RicciRicci’- I got this for my birthday and am IN LOVE with this scent! I’m no good at describing perfumes, but this is just plain yummy :) floral and light and sweet but not too intensely so..just a lovely spring/summer fragrance :)
